Northrop Grumman is seeking Sheetmetal Fabricators Level 2 or 3 to support various programs in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
These positions are contingent upon funding
Basic Duties / Responsibilities
Basic Qualifications:
This position may be filled as a level 2 or level 3 pay grade depending on the candidate's experience and/or years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Primary Level Salary Range: $52,700.00 - $87,900.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $0.00 - $0.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Northrop Grumman is seeking Sheetmetal Fabricators Level 2 or 3 to support various programs in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Basic Duties / Responsibilities
- Able to use a variety of fabrication hand tools and precision measuring instruments to make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work.
- Able to work from blueprints, sketches, work instructions, both written and verbal.
- Ability to operate various fabrication equipment, such as shear, sheet metal brake, rollers, grinders, and presses.
- Able to learn and perform other job functions with OJT when required.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to think through problems with forming.
Basic Qualifications:
This position may be filled as a level 2 or level 3 pay grade depending on the candidate's experience and/or years of experience.
- Level 2 - High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 year of sheet metal fabrication experience.
- Level 3- High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of sheet metal fabrication experience.
- Ability to wear a respirator and other safety gear.
- Ability to rotate/work shifts as required by the program.
- Ability to follow written, electronic and verbal instructions and work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Clearance if the requirements change.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of flat pattern layout and sheet metal brake operation.
- Advanced knowledge in hand forming sheet metal with shrinker stretcher, rollers.
- Advanced knowledge of form block building and hammer forming and straitening parts.
