As a Mission Architect - Level 3 or Level 4 located in Colorado Springs, CO, you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.
The Systems Engineering role will work as a mission operations liaison for the Geosynchronous Space Situational Awareness Program (GSSAP). The successful candidate will work closely with the mission operations team and the factory engineering team to ensure successful program execution. The candidate will support & coordinate with system integration efforts to validate system updates and enhancements are fully integrated and tested for the operational environment. The candidate will travel to and work closely with the spacecraft and ground factory teams during development, integration and test activities.
The candidate will work with a geographically distributed and cross-discipline team and must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse community of customers, end users, engineers, developers and managers to achieve the goals of the program team.
This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off. This position will primarily work from a customer facility, and requires regular CONUS travel to various NG and other locations (up to 25%).

Primary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

- Preparing/presenting SE material at major reviews, PMRs and interfacing with the customer and SETAs on mission and operational technical issues.

- Space systems engineering experience, including requirements analysis, interface development, testing and integration
Basic Qualifications for Level 4:
- Bachelor's degree with 8 years of professional experience - OR - Master's degree with 6 years of professional experience - OR - PhD with 4 years of professional experience.
- Requires an active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application
- Space systems engineering experience, including requirements analysis, interface development, testing and integration
Preferred Qualifications:
- Space mission operations experience.
- Experience coordinating closely with customers and end-users.
- Experience working with a cross-discipline team.
- Spacecraft simulator and/or training experience
