Description:You will be the NDI Technician, F-35- Level 4 for the team which is responsible for ensuring the airworthiness and quality of F-35 aircraft structural assemblies. This position is located at Ebbing Field ANG, Ft. Smith Arkansas.
What You Will Be Doing
As the NDI Technician, F-35- Level 4 you will be responsible for conducting precise non-destructive inspections and quality-assurance activities that keep the fleet mission-ready.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Perform non-destructive and dimensional inspections of F-35 structural assemblies, forgings, and sonic configurations.
- Conduct scheduled Process Compliance Surveillance inspections, write/review CAPA reports, and perform root-cause analysis.
- Execute incident and mishap investigation audits, preparing quality documentation, trend analyses, and corrective action plans.
- Support local F-35 FMS training and, when required, global NDI requirements-including short-notice travel and temporary-duty assignments.
- Operate computerized workstations, interpret engineering drawings, and maintain NAS-410 Level II certification in Eddy Current and Ultrasonic disciplines.

You are a detail-oriented, collaborative professional with a strong technical foundation in non-destructive inspection methods. You hold a current NAS-410 Level II certification, can interpret complex engineering drawings, and thrive in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. Your ability to work independently under general direction, coupled with excellent communication skills for inter-organizational interaction, makes you an essential contributor to both local and global F-35 sustainment efforts.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an interim clearance to start and have the ability to obtain a Final Secret Clearance. This position may include certain required health screenings and immunizations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Candidate must be certified as a NAS410 Nondestructive Inspection Level II in Ultrasonics (UT) and Eddy Current (ET)
- Candidate must have a minimum three years of experience working on aircraft utilizing NDI equipment, standards, probes, etc. in performance of NDI inspections.
Desired Skills:
- Degree in related field from accredited university
- Experience with Liquid Penetrant Inspection (PT) and Radiography (RT) methods.
- Three years' of recent (within one year) experience as a USAF, USN, USMC military aircraft maintenance technician or US Army Aviation helicopter maintenance technician.
- 5th Generation fighter aircraft experience.
- Composite repair experience.
- Experience with Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS).
- Possess effective communication skills for coordinating with Aircraft Managers/Supervisors, Field Service Reps, System Engineers, Maintenance Logistics Support Managers, Customer (DCMA/GCQA), COR/QAE and maintainers regarding quality issues, Instrumentation System Integration, Deficiency Analysis/Reporting, customer complaints, and other issues related to higher quality as they occur.
- Current U.S. Passport.
