The Homeland Sector within Leidos is seeking a Senior Contract Manager to join our Air Traffic Business Area in support of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as a contracts subject matter expert supporting FAA programs across multiple contract types and provide strategic guidance to program and business leadership.
- Lead high-visibility programs and proposal efforts, including RFP analysis, risk identification and mitigation, hands on proposal development, support internal reviews and contract negotiation.
- Proactively identify, assess and mitigate contractual risks. Lead required reviews and ensure compliance in accordance with company policies.
- Act as a forward-leaning problem solver who can recommend practical solutions and influence outcomes that support strategic program goals and business results.
- Effectively prioritize and manage competing activities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership and Government counterparts, serving as a trusted advisor on contractual matters.
- Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with the FAA Contracting Officials to ensure responsiveness to customer needs and successful contract execution.
- Ensure overall contract compliance with assigned programs in accordance with contractual requirements, company policies and procedures, and applicable laws and regulations while operating with a high degree of independence in a dynamic work environment.
Basic Qualifications
- BA degree + 12 or more years of relevant experience; or Masters degree + 10 or more years of relevant experience with in-depth knowledge of various contract types (e.g., T&M, FFP, and Cost Plus).
- Proven ability to solicit and process complex information and data to solve complex problems and make sound decisions.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with measured and articulate communication skills; ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers; proven history of building a team environment, fostering communication, listening to staff concerns, and reconciling internal issues or differences.
- Vast experience managing large contracts, IDIQs, Risk Analysis, Negotiating, briefing information, strategic mindset, effectively collaborating across functions, redlining various agreements.
- A background in the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) is highly desired in addition to the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
- Must have the ability to make sound business judgments, handle multiple contractual activities with a short turn-around time, and work independently as well as part of a team.
- The Candidate must be proficient with Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a Public Trust Clearance.
- Local travel for Customer meetings might be required.

- Experience with FAA Acquisitions and Regulations desired
- Success in supporting large capture teams.
