I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12/13 or pay band DS-05 in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating the following: 1) Experience with tactical military Internet Protocol (IP) networks and data link systems, including design, integration, test, and sustainment; 2) Ability to serve as a senior technical advisor and mentor, with experience leading or representing technical teams; 3) Expert understanding of tactical IP networking (routing, switching, Quality of Service (QoS), encryption, security) and data link architectures/protocols; 4) Familiarity with military communications standards, spectrum/Radio Frequency (RF) considerations, and systems engineering processes; 5) Troubleshooting and analysis of interoperability and performance issues across complex communications systems; 6) Strong communication skills for technical documentation, briefings, and stakeholder engagement; 7) Developmental Feeder Experience; 8) Hands-on support in design, integration, or testing of military networks/data links with growing expertise under senior supervision; 9) Experience in troubleshooting, system analysis, and preparing draft technical documentation or reports.

- You will provide aircraft weapon system capabilities for all aspects of avionics systems.
- You will be responsible for the development of goals, objectives, and strategies to meet program engineering requirements.
- You will recommend and implement alternative technical strategies, and approaches for the acquisition, integration and sustainment of radio communication products into their dedicated configuration or platform.
- You will research the applicability of current and evolving technology pertinent to the avionics development programs.
- You will support program level forums led by the PMA or designated alternate to address overall program issues, and/or assess program progress toward goals.
- You will prepare formal program materials as required.
