Description
Data Systems Analysts, Inc. is seeking a Senior Configuration Management Specialist to lead the configuration and lifecycle management of software and systems within the Army Resource Cloud (ARC/cPROBE) environment. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and implementing robust configuration management plans, automate software configuration processes, and ensuring compliance with DoD and Army standards, including RMF and cybersecurity requirements. This role requires a highly experienced professional with a strong background in IT, configuration management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support the Army's Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes.

Required Qualifications
- Active or Current DOD Secret Clearance
- Current Security + Certification
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another relevant field is required. Advanced degrees in related fields are preferred but not mandatory.
- A minimum of 6 to 10 years of experience in IT and business/industry roles, with a strong focus on configuration management and lifecycle development processes.
- Proficiency in configuration management tools, software lifecycle processes, and automation technologies.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 10007, IEEE/EIA 12207, and CMII Institute guidelines is highly desirable.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in managing complex IT systems and software configurations in a cloud-based environment, such as AWS GovCloud.
- Knowledge of DoD and Army regulations, including Risk Management Framework (RMF) and cybersecurity compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve configuration issues effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration and compatibility of system components.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools, as well as Agile software development methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain configuration management plans that align with industry standards and best practices, ensuring all software and systems are properly configured throughout their lifecycle.
- Implement and manage tools to automate software configuration items, including version control, change management, and deployment processes, to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
- Work closely with lifecycle development teams to provide subject matter expertise, ensure compatibility of system components, and support the integration of new technologies and processes.
- Ensure all configuration management activities comply with DoD and Army regulations, including RMF and cybersecurity standards. Maintain detailed documentation of configuration management processes and updates.
- Identify potential risks related to configuration management and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the reliability and security of systems and applications.
