Position Summary
The Engineering Technician supports the development, integration, and sustainment of the Marine Air-Ground Networked Layer (MANGL) across multiple Marine Corps aviation platforms. This role provides technical management and coordination for complex, multi-component avionics systems, ensuring successful design, testing, production, and in-service support. The incumbent works closely with platform program offices, engineering teams, and operational stakeholders to align requirements, schedules, and integration strategies. This position requires recent avionics, maintenance, and operational experience, along with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional subject matter experts to deliver resilient, mission-ready communications capabilities.

Must possess a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Starting salary range between $100,000 to $130,000 annually.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical oversight and management for avionics system development, integration, analysis, testing, and sustainment activities related to MANGL modifications.
- Collaborate with platform-specific teams to understand requirements, schedules, and operational constraints supporting multiple program offices.
- Identify integration risks, technical gaps, and system seams that could impact resilient communications performance, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Ensure avionics modifications meet all technical, operational, and performance requirements prior to fielding.
- Coordinate engineering efforts across Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), NAVAIR competencies, DoD organizations, contractor partners, and fleet stakeholders.
- Support design reviews, system evaluations, and test activities to validate avionics performance within the aircraft environment.
- Assess feasibility and impacts of integrating avionics hardware and software into unique aircraft configurations and mission profiles.
- Facilitate communication between program leadership and technical teams to maintain alignment on priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
- Support production and in-service sustainment planning to ensure long-term operational effectiveness.
- Provide subject matter expertise on avionics integration challenges, system interoperability, and platform-specific considerations.
- Monitor progress of assigned efforts and provide status updates, technical recommendations, and decision support to program leadership.
Required Education
- Bachelors degree in computer science, math or engineering discipline.
Required Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an Engineering role.
