Job Summary

• Seeking a Systems Engineer to support the design, integration, and sustainment of complex systems in a mission-focused environment
• The Systems Engineer will work closely with software developers, network engineers, cybersecurity teams, and stakeholders to ensure systems meet performance, security, and operational requirements

Primary Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements and translate them into system requirements and technical specifications
• Develop system architectures, interface control documents (ICDs), and design artifacts
• Support requirements derivation, traceability, and validation
• Conduct system integration, testing, and verification activities
• Support configuration management and change control processes
• Perform performance analysis, risk assessments, and trade studies
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues
• Develop and maintain system documentation
• Support system accreditation and compliance activities (e.g., RMF, security controls)
• Assist with lifecycle sustainment, modernization, and system upgrades

Required Qualifications

• Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
• 14 years' Systems Engineering experience
• Strong grasp of Kubernetes networking, configuration, and deployment across secure environments
• Proven ability to support compliance-driven sustainment activities with attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent collaboration skills with both technical team members and mission stakeholders
• Solid documentation and tracking skills using enterprise tools
• Ability to adapt quickly to evolving security and mission needs

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Salt, and Ansible
• Familiarity with Rancher, Helm, and advanced Kubernetes features
• Working knowledge of observability tools like Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Grafana
• Security+ (CWIP) or equivalent certification preferred

Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate's experience and qualifications.

The pay range for this role is:

165,000 - 225,000 USD per year (NBP)
