We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Program Manager to join our Global Sustainment team in Poway, CA.
Primary responsibility is planning and implementing the Global Product Support strategy necessary for the success of SkyGuardian Global Sustainment Solution (SGSS). The ideal candidate will have a proven track-record of planning and incorporating global supply strategies into MQ-9 Global Sustainment programs. This position is critical to multiple international program(s) which represent significant future growth. Requires a thorough understanding of company, supplier, and customer motivations and concerns, and the ability to evaluate and resolve difficult problems. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a primary interface for Global Product Support with senior management, business development, engineering, supply chain, sustainment, subcontracts, and finance.
- Lead all phases of the program from conceptualization through completion, including acquisition, planning, and managing technical performance to ensure quality, business, and financial objectives are attained.
- Develop and coordinate program plans for internal and subcontracted sustainment providers which serve numerous customers.
- Identify and develop strategic global outsourcing opportunities that align with GA-ASI contractual requirements and goals
- Collaborate cross-functionally to establish demand planning to facilitate a global rotable resource pool while remaining aligned with foreign policies, governmental regulations, GA-ASI processes, procedures and overall strategies
- Collaborate with adjacent groups within MQ-9 Sustainment Programs to improve initial product quality and synchronize performance standards. May also contribute to the development of short- and long-term group objectives.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Agile Mission Systems, Depot Center and Contract Administration to establish baseline support agreements for implementation with critical current and future SkyGuardian business partners.
- Interact with management and customer representatives regarding programs, operational decisions, scheduling requirements and contractual clarification. Act as primary contact for program issues.
- Influence the preparation of budgetary estimates, commercial proposals, requests for information, standardized statements of work and financial terms/conditions of contract(s) with respect to global supply, sub-contract acquisitions, negotiations and modifications.
- Participate with Supply Chain and Industrial Cooperation / Offsets in pursuing business partnerships that enhance the capabilities of SGSS and may result in new programs and business opportunities.
- Direct the development of and ensure the security of proprietary technology, and maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Responsible for ensuring all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations are observed wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
- Responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices
Job Qualifications
- Typically requires a Bachelors, Masters or PhD in engineering, science or a related technical field as well as thirteen or more years of progressively complex program administration experience with at least seven of those years managing programs. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
- Demonstrates extensive application of subcontract/supply management principles, concepts, and practices as well as comprehensive leadership skills including organizing, planning, scheduling, and coordinating workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones.
- Must be able to develop solutions to complex problems that require coordination across multiple program's requirements.
- Strong communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required to enable an effective interface with other departments, all levels of management, professional and support staff, customers, potential customers, and government representatives.
- Customer focused, must be able to work on a self-initiated basis and in a team environment, and able to work extended hours and travel as required.
- Proven technical skills and a proven capacity to develop and lead complex, cross-functional projects
