Bennett Aerospace Inc, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, has an opening for a highly motivated Scientist II/III. This position is for a degreed chemist or related field who will primarily perform preventive and corrective maintenance on analytical chemistry laboratory equipment and systems. Part of this effort includes performing weekly or monthly analysis of standards or samples on the equipment to monitor baseline performance. When a needed repair cannot be performed by laboratory personnel, this position coordinates with the OEM or an authorized vendor to come onsite to perform the repair.
Work is performed per documented procedures, which this position will also maintain and develop new procedures when needed. Routine maintenance work is planned, scheduled, and documented using a work control system. This position may also provide general support to the laboratory such as ordering supplies and materials, establishing OEM/Vendor service agreements, maintaining chemical inventories, testing eyewashes and showers, and addressing safety findings. There may also be an opportunity to support research projects depending on experience and skills.

Position Responsibilities:
- Ensure analytical chemistry laboratory equipment is functioning correctly, giving accurate results, and is readily available to support research projects or other analysis of samples when needed.
- Document maintenance activity through completion of maintenance work orders and develop and maintain maintenance procedures as needed.
- Escort vendors in laboratory for maintenance and repair visits.
- Provide support for Lab Safety Plans, environmental management, and general housekeeping.
- Perform other position related duties and responsibilities as directed.
- Safely perform all work in compliance with laboratory best practices and local policies and procedures.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related field.
- Five years of related experience.
Preferred Software Experience includes suites such as: XCalibur, ChemStation, Qtegra, Chromeleon, Omnic.
Preferred Instrumentation/Skills Experience includes:
- GC/GC-MS, FTIR, Raman, Liquid Chromatographs, ICP-OES/MS, SEM, Microscopy, Wet Lab/Sample Preparation, Pressurized Systems/Vacuum Systems, Instrument Troubleshooting/Maintenance.
- Ability to multitask and change tasks in response to priority needs.
- Documentation development and review.
Security Requirements:
Security Clearance Level: Secret
- Applicants selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability requirements.
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.
- Successful Pass of Bennett Aerospace Background Investigation, Drug Screening and Credit Check.
