Overview

VTG is seeking Team Leads to provide leadership and communication skills to train team members, lead team members and provide feedback and guidance to personnel. They will provide first line supervision to the unit programs. This role will be based in Washington, DC. It is 100% onsite.

What will you do?

Supervise all work performed by the contract workforce supporting their assigned team, including those responsibilities performed by Coordinators or other contract analysts on the team. Ensure all work is executed as the government intended, that it meets the requirements of the unit and that specific program, and that all work is implemented in an effective and professional manner:
  • Ensure personnel assigned to each team are fully trained, complete all required tasks in a timely manner, and act in accordance with all necessary procedures, policies, and laws.
  • Contribute directly to the unit's operational mission by performing In-Processing, search and review duties in conjunction with other duties.
  • Review team members' work periodically to ensure it is executed correctly and in a timely fashion.
  • Possess the ability or learn to perform all functions assigned to personnel on the respective team; when required, assist as needed; act as a back-up if the primary person responsible for the assigned function is out of the office.
  • Disseminate new information to the team, train personnel on any new requirements, and ensure the team's SOPs are updated.
  • Receive updated SOPs quarterly from each of the assigned functions, review, edit, and concur with the updated SOP, submit copies to the Program Lead or notify the Program Lead that there was no change in the respective SOP(s).
  • Track team productivity statistics as needed.
  • Ensure information saved to the shared drive folders are updated and organized to facilitate smooth transitions for new personnel, when required.
  • Collaborate with the relevant personnel and contract leadership regarding operations, policies, compliance, personnel issues, and deliverables.
  • Take a leading role in policy discussions related to the team.
  • Monitor the team's daily procedures for ways to increase efficiency.
  • Perform personnel management-related issues for contractors on the team (e.g., identify, discuss, mitigate, and solve disagreements, misunderstandings, or hardships).
  • Perform contract administrative functions if/as required by the contractor (e.g., timecards, leave, scheduling, and performance evaluations).

Do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelor's degree; Political Science, Government Affairs or International Affairs preferred but not required OR four (4) years of experience in the IC community and/or law enforcement experience.
  • One year of experience with the mission.
  • Demonstrate expertise and understanding of the unit's SOPs/Training Manual, policies, and legal framework governing the unit's responsibilities and actions.
  • Team Leads must demonstrate the leadership and communication skills necessary to train team members, lead contractors on a team, and provide feedback and guidance to contract personnel.
  • Must have an active TS Clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Interest in national security, cyber crimes, international studies, counterintelligence or similiar areas preferred but not required.
