Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Security Clearance in Mascoutah, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location, supporting mission-focused operations through high-visibility patrols and access control. As an armed Security Officer, you will monitor assigned areas, verify badges and credentials, document activity, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures and policies, and/or supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Control access to facilities and restricted areas by verifying credentials, processing visitor check-in, and directing individuals to approved destinations per site requirements.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems and report irregular activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy issues to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events, preserving scene information as directed, and coordinating with site personnel and/or first responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, staging locations, and perimeter points as assigned, noting and reporting unusual conditions, unsecured doors, and/or suspicious activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
