Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced recruiter with a background in cleared hiring to identify, engage, and deliver top talent for DOD, national security, and federal civilian agency roles. The ideal candidate combines cleared recruiting expertise, a consultative mindset, and the ability to manage candidate pipelines efficiently
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 20 qualified candidate submissions per month, targeting 4-7 offers.
- Engage candidates quickly, with a speed-to-engagement goal of 7 days.
- Maintain a submit-to-interview ratio of 75% and a time-to-offer target of under 41 days (team average ~30 days).
- Manage one primary requisition at a time, supported by a sourcing team; more complex roles may involve a secondary recruiter.
- Conduct independent market research to identify target companies, forums, and cleared talent pipelines.
- Advise hiring managers with data-driven insights and realistic guidance rather than just fulfilling requests.
Experience & Background:
- Proven experience recruiting candidates with active security clearances (Secret, TS, or TS/SCI).
- Experience recruiting for:
- Department of Defense (DoD) / National Security roles
- Federal civilian agencies (IRS, HHS, etc.)
- Typically 3-5 years of recruiting experience in cleared roles.
- Proficient with LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and other sourcing platforms.
- Experience with market research tools like TalentNeuron.
- Familiarity with ClearanceJobs or other cleared talent sources.
- Able to think creatively, research niche forums, and identify passive cleared candidates.
- Strong communicator - concise, meaningful, and clear.
- Steady and reliable under variable timelines.
- Consultative mindset - able to provide realistic advice to managers and lead recruiting strategy.
