Program Overview

About The Role

The VP for Corporate Security Compliance reports directly to the Chief Security Officer (CSO) and assists in the oversight of enterprise-wide security. This is a highly visible executive role requiring regular interaction with senior leadership, employees and external stakeholders.

As the VP, you will be responsible for corporate security compliance (including management of the Corporate FSO), business continuity, emergency/crisis management, centralized personnel security, proposal support, security policies and training. In addition, you will serve as the primary security point of contact to inform and mitigate corporate risk (including regularly interacting with human resources, cyber, legal, etc. on insider risk matters), and drive process improvements and efficiencies through greater use of automated tools, meaningful metrics, information sharing, centralized processes, etc., across the security organization, and assist with the oversight of the corporate security budget, including assessing current contracts and services for potential cost savings.
  • Drive process improvements to ensure security processes are business-focused, technology-driven, and cost-effective.
  • Support Sector Security leaders and proactively identify, communicate, and champion innovative solutions and best practices for the benefit of all businesses.
  • Collaborate with embedded sector security personnel to drive effective communication across the organization.
  • Keep abreast of applicable government policies, procedures and regulatory requirements to ensure Peraton remains compliant and take the necessary steps to update security-related policies and training, accordingly.
  • Serve as an interlocutor with Government Security Representatives, coordinate with Legal and oversee processes to update organizational documents, board resolutions, and the submission of change packages to DCSA.
  • Coordinate with the business, Real Estate Department, Finance, Procurement and other functional areas to inform the procurement of contracted services, monitor service level agreements, and inform the costs of new and upgraded SCIF builds and facility leases.
  • Lead a centralized personnel security support function and coordinate, accordingly, with program-specific personnel security to ensure consistent and effective public trust and national security clearance support across the company.
  • Oversee and manage Peraton's single security enterprise (case management) system to track and manage security and suitability determinations, adverse reports, insider risk, infractions/security violations, etc.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive Emergency Actions Plans to establish procedures and outline responsibilities of assigned personnel for ensuring the safety of our workforce and safeguarding classified information during an emergency.
  • Lead the coordination and synchronization of all activities of the Peraton business continuity, emergency/crisis management programs working closely with internal and Client-facing teams to achieve program objectives.
  • Support the CSO, as the Insider Threat Program Security Officer, to maximize and strengthen cross-functional, insider risk processes.
  • Work collaboratively with insider risk stakeholders (CISO, HR, IT, Legal, etc.) to implement technical controls, identify use cases, ingest appropriate data sources, develop analytics, refine alert criteria, and enhance employee awareness.
  • Participate in and, when applicable, lead assessments involving possible insider threats, security violations, vulnerabilities, etc., and take all appropriate measures to remediate.
  • Collaborate with the CIO, CISO and Information Assurance to ensure teams are effectively collaborating and that there is appropriate support the security of our IT systems (e.g., classified networks) and alignment across all related policies and processes.
  • Lead and/or inform physical security team members and oversee associated budget to ensure we remain resourced to protect people, infrastructures, and information, enable growth, and inform costs associated with the build or upgrade of classified areas.

Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree with 16+ years of experience, or Master's with 14+ years, of running/leading multidiscipline security programs and expert knowledge specifically in corporate security compliance, industrial security, personnel security, crisis management, insider risk, proposal support, and SAP security program management.
  • At least 6 years in management capacity or equivalent experience.
  • Top Secret/SCI eligibility required
  • Experience with maintaining liaison with appropriate US government intelligence agencies.
  • Experience leading people, tasks and projects.
  • Exceptional critical thinking, organization, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong teams; recruit top talent and develop colleagues of all levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships, influence outcomes, and to deliver effective presentations to a variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact comfortably with all levels of management and actively engage with external stakeholders, including security working groups, trade associations, customers, etc.
  • Experience in identifying and applying innovative ideas to business problems and shepherding them through the development stage to implementation and successful adoption.
  • Prior industry security experience - preferred.

SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
