PCB Designer - Altium
McLeansville, NC

Abilty to Obtain a Secret Clearance
Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
- Design and layout multilayer PCBs using Altium Designer
- Support full CCA development lifecycle, from schematic through fabrication release
- Generate and maintain design documentation packages including BOMs, ODB++, fabrication files, and 3D models
- Utilize Altium IPC footprint and schematic generators for component creation
- Apply knowledge of CCA fabrication techniques to ensure manufacturability
- Perform or support schematic capture in Altium and/or Xpedition
- Maintain structured ECAD library management practices
- Interface with manufacturing partners and suppliers to clarify design documentation
- Support circuit design validation and hands-on prototyping efforts
- Ensure designs meet applicable IPC and manufacturing standards
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Associate's degree (or equivalent experience)
- Department of Defense Secret clearance preferred or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe
- Minimum 7 years of relevant PCB design experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience using Altium for PCB design
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Altium Designer 27
- Experience with Altium IPC footprint and schematic generators
- Library management experience in Altium or Mentor Graphics Xpedition
- Familiarity with Mentor Graphics tools: Xpedition, xDM, DxDataBook, BoardStation, HyperLynx
- Experience with Footprint Expert
- 3D modeling using SolidWorks, NX, or Creo
- Knowledge of IPC standards and electronics manufacturing processes
- Experience generating BOMs, ODB++ digital fabrication packages, and 3D models
- Hands-on circuit design and prototyping experience
- Ability to work onsite in McLeansville, NC three or more days per week
