Our DOD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Senior Shipping Associate position that just opened in Scottsdale, AZ. In this role you'll support outbound shipping and logistics operations within a secure defense manufacturing environment. To be considered, you must have at least a High School Diploma plus a minimum of 2 years of related shipping, logistics, or materials experience.

Shift: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Position Summary

Clearance Requirements
- Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
- Due to the nature of work performed within secure facilities, U.S. citizenship is required

This role performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping duties, including carrier selection, routing, packaging, documentation, and shipment tracking. The position requires close coordination with internal teams to ensure materials are shipped accurately, securely, and in compliance with company procedures and government regulations, including those governing classified materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Process outgoing shipments in accordance with established procedures and schedules
- Determine proper packaging, cushioning, carriers, and routing for shipments
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including bills of lading and shipping records
- Utilize computer systems to route, track, and process shipments
- Verify quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to required identifications
- Report shipped materials, post weights and shipping charges, and route merchandise to destinations
- Communicate effectively with coworkers, planners, material managers, and internal customers
- Coordinate and prioritize daily work activities to meet operational deadlines
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and team objectives
- Participate actively in team meetings and process reviews
- Handle and process classified materials in accordance with security requirements
- Lift heavy items and operate forklifts or other powered industrial vehicles, as required
