The Work
As a primary Network Development Engineer for the C2BMC program, you will plan, deploy, integrate, and test network upgrades across operational sites. Working within an agile scrum team, you'll translate customer requirements and contractual obligations into actionable tasks, travel to remote locations (e.g., Schriever SFB, Alaska, Guam, Europe) to lead installations, troubleshoot issues independently, and keep program personnel informed of status and outcomes.

- This position is based at a Lockheed Martin facility in Colorado Springs, CO. The role requires flexibility to travel to alternate work locations as needed.

Who You Are
You are a proven mid-level network engineer with solid hands-on experience in network design, development, and testing. You understand the OSI model, TCP/IP, BGP and OSPF, and possess strong traffic-analysis and troubleshooting skills. You are comfortable with multi-vendor firewalls (Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto), multicast, VLANs, GRE tunnels, and optical transport technologies, and you thrive in collaborative, fast-paced agile environments.

Basic Qualifications:
• An active Final Top Secret security clearance is required.
• Must possess a DoD 8140/8150 IAT Level II compliant certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE or other certs such as CISSP or CASP. If you don't possess the certification, you must be able to obtain the certification within 60 days of starting.
• Demonstrated experience with network design, development, and testing methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of OSI model, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and network traffic analysis.
• Hands-on firewall experience (Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto).
• Experience with UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE tunnels, and TCP/IP network designs.
Desired Skills:
• Multi-vendor switching/routing expertise (Juniper, Cisco) and WAN optimizer experience.
• CCNA or JNCIA certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with TACLANEs and optical transport equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, agile scrum environment.
• Knowledge of DoD security standards, STIG compliance, and system accreditation processes.
• Exposure to virtualization technologies (NFV, SD-WAN, VMware, VMware Cloud Foundation, NSX, vSAN, Aria).
• Experience with network automation tools such as Ansible.
• Prior involvement with the C2BMC program is a plus.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
