Lockheed Martin is committed to leading the way in aerospace and defense innovation and excellence. We are seeking an Environment, Safety, and Health (ESH) Manager to ensure the highest standards of ESH practices in our manufacturing and aerospace operations.
THE WORK
The ESH Manager, Owego and Syracuse, leads a team of thirteen professionals that drive overall compliance and conduct tactical ESH operations for both the Owego and Syracuse NY sites. The Owego ESH team reporting to this position consists of eight direct reports while the Syracuse team consists of four direct reports. The successful candidate will be located in either Owego or Syracuse office locations but will be required to travel between the two periodically.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Plan, develop and execute cost-effective ESH programs designed to reduce risk, increase compliance and reduce employee injuries while meeting customer requirements
• Obtain and maintain applicable environmental permits with no notices of violation or excursions from permitted operating conditions.
• Compliantly manage chemical procurement and storage, and hazardous waste accumulation and disposal.
• Execute Target Zero, Go Green, Ergo Cup, Excellence Awards and other corporate and RMS Enterprise ESH initiatives.
• Support the timely use of the Enablon common tool suite including establishing and growing superusers of the tool.
• Manage local ESH budget.
• Oversee the compliant operation of the site wastewater treatment plant and manage associated staff.
• Perform injury investigations and drive the implementation of corrective actions.
• Interface with site, program and production operations leadership to promote ESH initiatives, conduct investigations and improve performance and accountability.
• Track key performance indicators.
• Coordinate with site stakeholders including participation in Production Operations' Operations Excellence Teams.
• Identify and execute operations excellence events, including Structured Improvement Activities.
• Manage ESH training including course and curricula development and delivering training.
• Manage and mentor site ESH staff, allocate staffing resources where needed.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline and/or related experience in the field combined with education
Experience providing comprehensive environmental, safety and health services to maintain a secure and compliant workplace for all health and safety related programs.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate, plan, and successfully execute projects on time and within budget
- Demonstrated track record of partnering and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization and with regulatory agencies
- Experience with interpreting OSHA regulations, ANSI & NFPA standards, and other associated compliance programs.
- Must be able to obtain a US DoD Secret Clearance
- U.S Citizenship Required.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $111,700 - $196,880. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
