Responsibilities
OBXtek is seeking several Payroll Specialists (Mid-Level) to assist Direct Hire (DH) staff in the Office of Finance and provide mid-level financial management personnel support for USAID payroll operations, payment processing and voucher examination, Intra-Governmental Payment and Collection (IPAC) transactions, and audit management and follow-up activities. Personnel perform moderately complex financial management functions requiring independent judgment, technical proficiency, and adherence to federal laws, regulations, and Agency policies. This role operates in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment and performs non-inherently governmental functions under established procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
- Administer federal payroll using automated systems, including time and attendance, leave audits, retirement, allotments, and pay differentials.
- Process complex payroll actions including prior service costing, retirement code changes, and retirement/survivor benefit applications.
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, suspense items, and agency inquiries.
- Respond to payroll inquiries through the ServiceNow ticketing system.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Five (5) years of direct experience supporting federal payroll operations at a cabinet-level agency.
- Knowledge of NFC systems and federal payroll regulations.
