This role shall provide mid-level accounting professionals to support USAID's accounting operations and financial reporting requirements. Personnel will perform accounting and financial reporting activities in compliance with Treasury, OMB, and federal accounting standards throughout the closeout and dismantlement period.

OBXtek is seeking several Accountants (Financial Reporting and Financial Statements) to assist Direct Hire (DH) staff in the Office of Finance. This role shall provide mid-level accounting professionals to support USAID's accounting operations and financial reporting requirements. Personnel will perform accounting and financial reporting activities in compliance with Treasury, OMB, and federal accounting standards throughout the closeout and dismantlement period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting monthly and quarterly Treasury and OMB reporting requirements, including GTAS submissions and certification.
- Preparing and reviewing SF-133 reports, Statements of Transactions, Unobligated Appropriation Reports, and DATA Act submissions.
- Supporting preparation of interim and final financial statements in accordance with OMB Circular A-136 and FASAB standards.
- Posting and reconciling general ledger entries related to asset transfers, liabilities, dismantlement accruals, and foreign currency account closures.
- Clearing intragovernmental and suspense accounts prior to financial statement preparation.
- Supporting documentation and development of financial statement notes.
- Assisting with SF-1151 Non-Expenditure Transfers, fund extensions, rescissions, and apportionment actions through GWA/CARS.
- Supporting CFO and OIG review processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- At least three (3) years of federal accounting experience.
- Working knowledge of the Federal Accounting Standard Advisory Board (FASAB), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL) accounts; Trust Fund Accounting; Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Bulletins and Circulars A- l 1, A-123, A-136 and GAO Auditing Standards and requirements, pronouncements, Government wide Treasury Account Symbol Adjusted Trial Balance System (GTAS) and the Treasury Bureau of Fiscal Service regulations and guidelines.
- Knowledge of accounting theories, practices, methods, techniques, and financial management systems to independently perform a variety of assignments.
- Knowledge of business and accounting practices, policies, regulations, and procedures.
- Knowledge of a variety of accounting and budget functional areas and their relationships to other functions; and knowledge of automated accounting and budget systems and the relevant Department of the Treasury systems, e.g., G-Invoicing.
- Ability to work independently in a high-volume, time-sensitive closeout environment.
