Description

The Leidos Defense Sector is seeking a Physical Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team in Honolulu, HI, supporting the PACAF Special Security Office at Headquarters PACAF, JBPHH. This role offers the opportunity to safeguard some of the nation’s most sensitive information and facilities while contributing directly to the security mission of the U.S. Air Force in the Pacific.

In this position, you will help protect classified information, personnel, facilities, and critical resources from criminal, terrorist, and hostile intelligence threats. You will support the development and implementation of physical security policies, evaluate and design protective systems, and ensure that sensitive materials remain secure from compromise, sabotage, or misuse. Your expertise will guide the assessment of proposed SCIF locations, the development and review of Construction Security Plans (CSPs) and Modification Security Plans (MSPs), and the evaluation of Fixed Facility Checklists (FFCs) and TEMPEST documentation across PACAF’s theater-wide SCIF portfolio. You will also review equipment entry requests, support annual Program Compliance Reviews, and deliver physical security training to PACAF subordinate units. This role requires a strong understanding of DoD and Air Force security standards and offers a meaningful opportunity to support the mission of PACAF Headquarters.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Oversee access integration with USINDOPACOM to support badge reciprocity.
  • Provide administrative and operational support for the PACAF SCI Physical Security Program.
  • Support the PACAF SSO team by providing SCI access control for all PACAF SCIFs.
  • Assist in enforcing SCIF access control requirements.
  • Coordinate escorts, conduct recurring security audits, and perform physical security inspections.
  • Assist with the development and review of Construction Security Plans (CSPs).
  • Participate in Program Compliance Review (PCR) inspections with a focus on physical security.
  • Review SCIF equipment entry requests and provide recommendations to the PACAF SSO.
  • Support the review of FFCs, TEMPEST forms, and other SCIF documentation prior to DIA submission.


Basic Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required on day one.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of DoD security experience; additional experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Strong background in executing physical security and SCI security responsibilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong customer service orientation, and proven analytical, organizational, and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ICD 705.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of DoDM 5105.21, Vol. 2.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience coordinating with DIA for SCIF authorization.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC)
  • Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC)

Pay Range: Pay Range $105,300.00 - $190,350.00
