- You will serve as the Financial and Business expert and oversee the daily execution of the business-related projects and programs of the IT Division.
- You will be responsible for and manage the financial administration and planning of the IT Division, as well as managing the budget execution and reporting.
- You will review financial reports and report status to the RDTE and NMCI Service Cost Center Manager.
- You will manage all investment projects, project funding to ensure work is adequately and accurately planned and estimated, funding has been received and completed work is validated by the designated customer representatives.
- You will provide oversight on contracts and leases with NMCI, Next Generation Enterprise Network (NGEN), Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Flank Speed, and other Information Management IM/IT providers.
- You will manage the revenue collection from the product lines and interface with Comptroller and Business Office Leads.
- You will responsible for weekly/monthly/ad hoc financial data analysis/forecasts/status reports to the Department, and internal NUWCDIVNPT customers and give reports to external customers (e.g. funding sponsors).
- You will work with Technical Project Managers to plan and assign the work to be accomplished, set performance standards and goals, and regulate schedules.
- You will establish priorities, monitor costs and provide expert guidance in helping determine future requirements and resources and manage special and technical assignments.
- You will provide expertise and strategic planning about concepts, plans, and programs to meet short- and long-term Division objectives.
- You will act as a subject matter expert and consultant for issues; provide leadership for the development and implementation of comprehensive solutions; and be responsible for all processes compliance requirements.
- You will oversee special projects and programs assigned by the ACIO, Code 104 IT Division Head, and Command management, providing advice and guidance to lower-level supervisors where problems exist or are developing.
- You will makes decisions on implementation of IT Policy at the Command level, assisting in resolving technical problems, proposals or requirements.
- You will provide business oversight of the Configuration Management processes for the IT environment ensuring compliance with Navy regulations and Governance policies
- You will interfaces with each RDTE Points of Contact (POC) on policy changes and requirements to ensure that NUWCDIVNPT complies with Navy IT/Cyber security regulations
- You will manage the execution of the IT Division's business activities by coordinating and developing the Division's Five-Year plan, ensure that operational and strategic plans and reports are updated accordingly
- You will define and coordinate the Division's metrics; coordinate with the Branch Heads to identify technical metrics as well as the financial manager on the financial metrics.
- You will develop a staffing and training strategy that ensures that the Division's personnel makeup is relevant, sustaining, and is engaged in maintaining its technical proficiency.
- You will direct employee development and approve official time, travel authorizations and vouchers.
