Job Summary
The IT Administrator will maintain the build-out of unclassified, controlled but unclassified, and classified information systems.

Primary Responsibilities/Duties:

IT Administator:
• Install/Maintain/Update Linux/Ubuntu based servers, ensuring optimal function and minimal downtime
• Support and maintain company network infrastructure, including installation of new hardware, upgrades to existing systems, and administration of related network applications
• Provide Tier I IT technical support for Windows end points, troubleshooting hardware, software, and access issues
• Maintain and configure endpoints through Microsoft Intune, including device compliance and policy administration
• Install and maintain peripheral devices including printers, switches, routers, and related equipment
• Administer and support business platforms including Microsoft (Office365, SharePoint, Teams, Intune), GitLab, Meraki network and VPN, LastPass, NGINX reverse proxy, and VMware ESXi
• Ensure adherence to best practices, including baselines, in system administration
• Work with vendors to support users, equipment, and infrastructure
• Aid in planning for future buildouts for upcoming project requirements and replacement cycles
• Assist in implementing security controls to support organizational compliance efforts
• Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• May be required to work unpredictable hours in emergencies
• May perform other duties as required


Secure Computing Support:
• Install, configure, secure, and maintain the Linux/Red Hat
• Apply and manage security controls including patching, hardening, access control, baseline configurations, and compliance enforcement
• Perform routine and emergency system updates, including OS patches, firmware updates, and approved software installations
• Support backup or imaging procedures to ensure data integrity and system recoverability
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on the secure system
• Adhere to policies and procedures when performing tasks associated with maintaining the secure computing system
• Assist ISSM with system audits, health checks, and security assessments to confirm compliance with required security standards

Required Education and Experience:
• High school (with 4-5 years of experience) or Bachelor’s (with 2+ years of experience) in computer science or relevant IT and system administration professional positions
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in system administration and networking in multiple platforms, primarily Linux and Windows
• Ability to build Linux and Windows OS platforms
• Proficient in reading and using basic level internal scripting
• Linux and Windows experience and associated applications
• TCP/IP working knowledge
• Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:
• GPU knowledge
• Knowledge of Python
• Meraki GUI /VPN configuration
• Familiarity with STIG analysis
• CMMC or other compliance frameworks
