Strategic Technology Institute, Inc. (STi) is seeking qualified applicants for multiple positions in support of Naval Sea Systems Command’s (NAVSEA) Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) requirements at their research facility in Bethesda, MD.
POSITION: Material Handler / Inventory Specialist
The Material Handler / Inventory Specialist supports warehouse operations by accurately receiving, storing, tracking, and preparing materials for shipment. This role requires strong attention to detail, safe equipment operation, and effective use of inventory systems.
Key Responsibilities
Verify incoming materials against receiving documents, report discrepancies or damage, and route items to proper storage locations.
Store, stack, palletize, and rearrange materials using prescribed methods, including periodic inventory counts and condition checks.
Pick, stage, and prepare materials for shipment; safely operate warehouse equipment (e.g., hand trucks, forklifts, order pickers, cranes, cherry pickers).
Use warehouse or inventory management systems (including AIT/barcode scanners) to maintain accurate inventory records and locate materials.
Follow OSHA and site safety protocols while working collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet workload and production goals.
Required Education
High school diploma or GED.
Required Experience and Skills
3+ years of warehouse operations experience, including physical inventories, barcode scanning (AIT), inventory accuracy, and setting up storage locations.
Experience identifying materials; familiarity with NAVY Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) preferred.
Security Clearance
Favorably adjudicated PSI at the T3 level required.
