Connected Logistics is seeking a Web Developer/Engineer – Senior for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Program Office, located in Battle Creek, MI.
As the Sr. Web Developer/ Engineer for CAGE, you will be responsible for the development of high-end client-server-based applications, designing and developing web pages, and porting applications to a web interface. You will also interface with clients to determine requirements.
Key Responsibilities may include, not limited to:
Responsible for the development of high-end client-server-based applications, designing and developing web pages, and porting applications to a web interface.
Collaborating with clients to determine requirements.
Must be able to utilize C+.NET, HTML, and XML technologies.
Requires extremely strong customer relationship skills.
Must be able to work independently with no supervision.
Development & Maintenance
Leading the design, development, and maintenance of robust, scalable web applications using technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#, Java, and modern frameworks.
Full Software Lifecycle: Performing all software lifecycle activities, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance and bug fixes.
Architecture & Integration: Designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices, managing database schemas (e.g., SQL Server, Postgres), and integrating with complex, potentially legacy, DoD systems, including mainframes and cloud environments (MS Azure, WS GovCloud, Azure SQL).
Mastery level experience in software testing and documentation, including mobile code (iOS and Android) and C#, .Net and expert level knowledge/experience in Oracle
Security & Compliance
Secure Coding: Applying secure coding practices in accordance with strict government regulations, such as DoD STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides) and RMF (Risk Management Framework) guidelines.
Compliance & Auditing: Ensuring applications meet compliance requirements for relevant standards like FISMA and DoD Impact Levels (IL).
Security Clearances: Maintaining an active U.S. security clearance as a condition of employment.
Collaboration & Leadership
Team Collaboration: Working within cross-functional, often Agile or DevSecOps, teams (including UI/UX designers, QA teams, and stakeholders) to define requirements and deliver projects.
Technical Leadership: Providing leadership and mentorship to junior developers and technical staff, guiding them through complex technical challenges.
Documentation & Reporting: Developing and maintaining technical documentation, operating instructions, and user guides for applications and systems.
Operational & Technical Environment
DevSecOps & CI/CD: Utilizing DevSecOps principles and CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments and continuous integration, using tools like GitLab, Jenkins, and Jira.
Troubleshooting: Debugging and resolving complex technical issues quickly to maintain the performance, security, and integrity of mission-critical applications.
Emerging Technologies: Staying current with emerging web technologies, industry trends, and potentially integrating AI tools to recommend and implement software upgrades for existing systems
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related fields (required).
Master of Science Degree in Computer Science or relevant field- (preferred).
Five (5) to ten (10) years+ of experience in scripting, software development, web page design and development, hands-on software development/web-page development.
8570/8140: Category IAT Level II (SEC+ or SEC+ CE or CySA) required
Must possess IT II Non -Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 3 / Active Secret Clearance at time of proposal
Experience with FrontPage, DreamWeaver,or related applications
Must have strong experience with agile software development methodologies
Strong customer collaborations/relations skills
Experience utilizing C#.Net, HTML, XML
Function: Web Developer with admin accounts/privileged access, one of the following HPE Webinspect, MCSD App Builder, MCSA Web Applications, or MS Web Developer I.
