We are seeking a highly organized and technical Software Developer Release Manager to oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of our software releases. You will act as the crucial bridge between development, quality assurance (QA), and IT operations, ensuring that new features, fixes, and updates are deployed to production environments seamlessly, safely, and on schedule. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, a deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, and experience in managing complex, interdependent release schedules in a DevOps culture.

Key Responsibilities:
- Release Planning & Scheduling: Define and maintain the master release calendar, coordinating across multiple development teams and product lines to manage dependencies.
- Deployment Management: Lead and coordinate Go-Live activities, including the execution of deployment plans, rollback procedures, and post-release validation.
- CI/CD & Automation: Develop, maintain, and optimize automated build, test, and deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps to achieve zero-downtime deployments.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, QA, and DevOps engineers to manage risks, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure all release criteria are met.
- Environment Management: Coordinate with configuration management teams to ensure environments (Dev, QA, Staging, Production) are prepared and configured for upcoming releases.
- Risk & Change Management: Identify risks that may impact the release scope, schedule, or quality, and implement mitigation strategies. Enforce change management processes.
- Documentation & Reporting: Meticulously document release notes, runbooks, and implementation plans. Provide regular status reports on release health, including defect rates and
- Process Improvement: Continually analyze release metrics and workflows to recommend and implement improvements that increase speed and reliability.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
- 3-5+ years of experience in software release management, DevOps, or a similar role within software development or IT operations.
Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Octopus Deploy).
- Proficiency in version control systems (Git) and branching strategies.
- Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and infrastructure as code (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation.
- Methodologies: Strong knowledge of Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and ITIL framework practices.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills to manage cross-functional teams under pressure.
Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Haves):
- Certifications: ITIL Foundation, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or PMP.
- Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Datadog, New Relic).
- Experience in high-frequency, SaaS, or highly regulated (Fintech/Healthcare) environments.
