Koniag Technology Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking AI Automation Enablement to support KTS and our government customer. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. This position is remote. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.

The AI Automation Enablement Service Team Lead (STL) provides leadership for AI-assisted automation practices supporting USDA NRCS/FPAC application delivery teams. This role is responsible for advancing build automation, test automation, deployment orchestration, and operational efficiencies through the use of Government-approved AI tools.

The AI Automation Enablement STL ensures automation solutions are scalable, compliant, and aligned with NRCS mission objectives, with particular emphasis on supporting enterprise financial systems and expanding AI automation beyond financial applications where appropriate.

This STL is expected to rapidly achieve full operational proficiency and deliver accountable outcomes across multiple cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities of the AI Automation Enablement STL:
The AI Automation Enablement STL will:
  • Lead AI Automation Enablement as a major functional area critical to contract success
  • Manage adoption of Government-approved AI tools such as Rhino.ai for code analysis and automation
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipeline automation using Jenkins and enterprise orchestration toolchains
  • Enable automated build, integration, regression testing, and deployment workflows
  • Expand AI automation solutions beyond NRCS financial systems to broader mission applications
  • Collaborate with Security & Compliance STL to ensure automation meets USDA requirements
  • Provide reusable automation frameworks, templates, and standardized delivery practices
  • Coordinate across multi-vendor engineering teams to maintain accountability and delivery quality
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort while sustaining stable O&M operations
  • Ensure AI usage is limited to approved tools only, with no model training or unauthorized data exposure

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Five (5) or more years of leadership experience in automation, DevOps, or AI enablement
  • Three (3) or more years supporting federal IT programs of comparable size and complexity
  • Proven success delivering automation best practices and measurable outcomes
  • Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., AWS DevOps, Agile, automation-focused credentials)
  • USDA NRCS or similar federal agency experience preferred but not required
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills across cross-functional teams

Skills of the AI Automation Enablement STL:
Desirable skills include:
  • Expertise with Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted delivery tooling in regulated environments
  • Strong communication and delivery accountability across operational portfolios

  • Ability to obtain a public trust
