Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Security Clearance in Roy, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control activities, report concerns clearly, and provide outstanding customer service to employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Control access at entry points by checking identification, managing visitor sign-in and/or badging procedures, and directing guests to designated areas according to site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate contacts and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production and/or office areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or policy concerns.
• Complete shift logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate notable activity to Allied Universal supervision and/or site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Have an active DoD Secret clearance.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
