Job Description
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Mesa, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an aero and defense location, you will monitor assigned areas and conduct routine patrols to help identify and report security-related concerns. You will maintain a visible presence, support access control and incident response, and deliver strong customer service and communication to employees and visitors. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and personnel by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, access control procedures, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an aerospace and defense location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting dispatch and/or public emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, hangar areas, parking lots, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor entry points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or visitor authorization, and document deliveries, contractors, and other site activity per written procedures.
- Complete detailed written and/or electronic reports, including patrol logs, incident reports, and maintenance or hazard notifications, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be 21+ years of age.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
