Tanium Administrator

We are hiring a Tanium Administrator/Operator to help secure and sustain enterprise IT operations in a fast-paced defense agency environment. In this role, you'll be hands-on with the Tanium platform-driving endpoint visibility, compliance, and security-while supporting Agile initiatives that keep mission systems resilient and audit-ready.

What You'll Do

Tanium Platform Operations

You'll serve as a key operator of the Tanium environment, including:

• Deploying, configuring, and supporting Tanium modules for:
• Asset discovery
• Compliance monitoring
• Vulnerability management
• Patch management
• Ensuring Tanium is operating efficiently, securely, and in alignment with program needs

Compliance & Security Support

You'll help maintain strong security posture by:

• Using Tanium to monitor, track, and report system and network compliance
• Supporting compliance efforts aligned with agency and DoD frameworks, including:
• STIGs
• NIST
• RMF
• Monitoring endpoint health and activity to identify potential risks
• Investigating endpoint security findings and coordinating remediation efforts

Agile Collaboration & Workflow Management

You'll work closely with technical and mission teams by:

• Participating as an active member of an Agile delivery team
• Engaging in Agile ceremonies and planning activities
• Tracking tasks, incidents, and enhancements using Jira

Reporting, Documentation & Continuous Improvement

You'll contribute to operational maturity through:

• Developing and maintaining dashboards, compliance reports, and operational metrics
• Creating and updating user guides and technical documentation
• Escalating issues appropriately and supporting resolution efforts
• Sharing knowledge and contributing to process improvements, workflow optimization, and team documentation

What You'll Bring

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience administering or operating Tanium
• Active Secret Clearance
• Active DoD 8570 IAT II certification (e.i. CompTIA Security +)
• Experience supporting endpoint security, compliance monitoring, and IT hygiene
• Familiarity with DoD or federal compliance frameworks (e.g., STIGs, NIST, RMF)
• Experience working in an Agile environment, including task tracking with Jira
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate across IT, cybersecurity, and mission teams
• A proactive mindset with interest in staying current on Tanium capabilities and security operations best practices
