Trellix Administrator

We are hiring a Trellix Administrator/Operator to strengthen endpoint security across a regulated defense agency environment. In this role, you'll take ownership of Trellix endpoint security operations-cleaning up and optimizing legacy deployments while supporting secure expansion into cloud environments.

This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys hands-on platform administration, values clean and compliant security configurations, and thrives in Agile teams using Jira.

What You'll Do

Trellix Platform Administration

You'll manage day-to-day Trellix operations by:

• Administering, maintaining, and optimizing Trellix (formerly McAfee) endpoint security solutions
• Configuring policies, deploying agents, and managing module upgrades
• Supporting Trellix across complex hybrid environments, including on-premises and cloud-hosted systems

Deployment Cleanup & Optimization

You'll help modernize and stabilize existing environments by:

• Conducting in-depth reviews of legacy Trellix deployments
• Identifying inefficiencies, misconfigurations, and outdated policies or agents
• Removing obsolete configurations and standardizing deployments
• Documenting remediation actions to support audit and compliance requirements

Oracle Cloud Security Support

You'll extend endpoint protection into the cloud by:

• Supporting deployment and operation of Trellix agents within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Ensuring cloud-hosted workloads meet agency security standards and compliance requirements
• Assisting with secure migration and policy alignment between on-prem and OCI environments

Compliance Monitoring & Incident Support

You'll support security operations by:

• Using Trellix tools to track endpoint compliance, vulnerability status, and security events
• Supporting reporting aligned with agency or DoD requirements
• Investigating, triaging, and resolving escalated endpoint security incidents
• Coordinating with IT and cybersecurity teams during incident response activities

Agile Collaboration & Documentation

You'll work within structured delivery teams by:

• Participating as an active member of Agile project teams
• Using Jira to manage tasks, backlog items, incidents, and system updates
• Developing and maintaining SOPs, architecture documentation, policy records, and knowledge bases
• Ensuring documentation supports long-term operations and future audits

What You'll Bring

• 4 years of Hands-on experience administering Trellix (McAfee) endpoint security solutions
• Active Secret Clearance
• DoD 8570 IAT II (e.i. Security+)
• Experience supporting enterprise security operations in regulated government environments
• Familiarity with hybrid environments, including on-premises and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
• Experience working in Agile teams, with practical use of Jira
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive, self-starting approach
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under deadlines
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively in matrixed, cross-functional organizations
• Commitment to continuous improvement and mission-focused outcomes

Preferred Certification

• Trellix / McAfee Certified Product Specialist or equivalent vendor credential
