- Provide ground test engineering expertise to cruise missile weapon system development.
- Track program and system level readiness for operational testing
- Support the planning, development, and execution of ground, integration, and system-level test activities
- Develop comprehensive test strategies and test plans aligned with program objectives and mission requirements
- Assist in identifying system and sub-system level limitations and deficiencies to mitigate risk during future developmental test
- Coordinate and provide input and reviews to the Weapon System Test Schedule
- Evaluate labs and facilities to meet Hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL), Software-in-the-loop (SWIL), performance, environmental, and cybersecurity test
- Develop test planning for ACAT I program
- Interface with lab and test facility personnel to ensure proper test planning
- Participate in ground test event planning, working groups, test execution, data management, data collection and data distribution
- Coordinate and provide requirements for test venues, test assets and participants across the DOD community
- Collaborate with government stakeholders, prime contractors, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure test objectives are met
- Apply technical expertise to assess test venue, weapon system or technology project readiness for testing and advise senior government personnel on test readiness
Qualifications:
- Bachelors of Science degree in engineering or science
- 5+ years of related experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Active Secret Clearance
Required Experience:
- Knowledge and understanding in advanced weapon system development and design
- Proven track record working with weapon system teams focused on integration and testing
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate multiple and complex test support assets
- Knowledge and understanding of missile HWIL and SWIL testing
- Demonstrated understanding of cybersecurity standards and testing
- Skilled in preparing briefings and comprehensive documentation
- Proficiency in preparing mission/test/flight readiness reviews and briefing material for senior leadership decision
Desired Experience:
- Experience with NNSA and CNWDI programs
- Demonstrated experience testing at various test ranges to include China Lake Test Facility (CTF), Point Mugu Sea Range (PMSR), Eglin Test Range, White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), Raegan Test Site (RTS)
- Experience serving as a Test Director and performing on-console operations
- Experience with nuclear weapon system testing and sub-launched weapon systems
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- Masters of Science degree in engineering
