Onsite Job - Material Coordinator
Location: San Antonio, TX, 78251
Shift: Variable (1st and 2nd, between 5:00 AM - 11:30 PM)
Job Type: Contract | Security Clearance: Secret (post start)
About the Role
Join our dynamic MTP organization as a Material Coordinator supporting the SAMC Back Shop team in San Antonio, Texas. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about hands-on inventory management and logistics in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. You'll play a crucial part in maintaining efficient material flow, supporting mission-critical operations, and ensuring top-tier quality and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Route materials efficiently to designated storage locations following strict procedures
- Conduct regular inventory counts, report on material condition, and identify any damage or deterioration
- Remove, issue, and prepare materials for shipment as needed
- Order necessary parts, tools, and equipment to support operational needs
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, tool control, inventory management, and facility housekeeping standards
- Review and analyze production schedules to guarantee material availability and cost control
- Investigate and coordinate solutions to resolve material shortages, schedule conflicts, or inventory discrepancies
- Perform in-depth analysis of complex material and schedule challenges as assigned
- Adapt to variable shifts and perform duties safely in diverse environments
Required Skills and Experience
- 4+ years hands-on warehouse inventory experience with proven parts accuracy and accountability
- Strong computer proficiency for inventory management
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and work variable shifts
- High school diploma or GED
- Eligible for a forklift license
Preferred Skills
- Experience with complex inventory analytics
- Familiarity with government/military inventory systems
- Prior Secret clearance
