Program Overview

Peraton provides a full suite of hybrid compute operations services to manage and operate the Hybrid Computing Environment (HCE). The HCE is a collection of enterprise computing resources including a data center, colocation sites, private cloud services, and furnished commercial cloud services.

About The Role

Peraton is seeking a Director, Client Success to serve as a trusted advisor and primary liaison between Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Headquarters and Component stakeholders and internal delivery, operations, and growth teams. You will be supporting the DHS DCCO IDIQ contract, this role is responsible for strengthening client relationships, advocating for DHS mission needs, and driving growth across enterprise data center and cloud services. The position blends client advocacy, account management, and business development to ensure program success, customer satisfaction, and long-term contract value.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Advocacy & Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) between DHS HQ and Component OCIO stakeholders and Peraton for all matters related to existing environments within the DHS Enterprise Data Center.
  • Support the DHS programs, ensuring DHS stakeholder requirements are clearly understood, communicated, and prioritized across internal teams.
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with DHS HQ and Component OCIO leadership, technical teams, and acquisition stakeholders.
  • Advocate on behalf of DHS stakeholders internally to ensure alignment between mission objectives, technical solutions, and contractual performance.
Program & Account Support
  • Support effective execution of ongoing programs by facilitating clear, responsive communication between DHS customers and internal delivery, engineering, and operations teams.
  • Ensure client expectations are managed throughout the program life-cycle, from on-boarding and steady-state operations to modernization and transition efforts.
  • Proactively identify risks, issues, and opportunities within existing environments and coordinate resolution in partnership with program leadership.
Business Development & Growth
  • Drive growth across data center and cloud services and solutions, supporting opportunities from pre-sale through full life-cycle execution within the DHS client base.
  • Identify expansion opportunities within existing DHS Components, including modernization, optimization, cost-reduction, and cloud migration initiatives.
  • Partner with capture, proposal, and technical teams to shape solutions that align with DHS mission needs and acquisition strategies.
  • Support pipeline development, opportunity qualification, and customer engagement activities aligned to DHS priorities.
Value Creation & Client Satisfaction
  • Enhance client satisfaction through timely, transparent, and responsive communication.
  • Identify and help implement cost-saving and efficiency measures that deliver measurable value to DHS stakeholders.
  • Monitor customer feedback and performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement and long-term customer success.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship; must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust clearance.
  • 16 year of experience supporting DHS or other Federal Civilian agencies in a client-facing, account management, or business development role.
  • Familiarity with DHS environments, enterprise IT operations, and federal acquisition processes.
  • Understanding of enterprise data center operations, cloud services, and hybrid IT environments.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to translate customer mission and technical requirements into actionable internal guidance.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience supporting DHS IDIQ contracts (e.g., DCCO or similar large-scale enterprise IT vehicles).
  • Background in federal IT services, managed services, cloud, or infrastructure modernization.
  • Experience supporting pre-sales activities, capture strategy, or solution shaping.

Details

Target Salary Range: $146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
