We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to conduct technical risk analysis across enterprise and mission systems. This role focuses on developing, supporting, and maintaining a hardened cloud environment to protect the Sponsor’s critical networks and applications.
Primary Responsibilities
• Develop and support a hardened AWS cloud environment, ensuring security is implemented at every infrastructure layer.
• Deploy and manage enterprise-level compute, storage, and networking services using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Oversee system health through proactive monitoring (CloudWatch, ELK Stack) and the management of continuous vulnerability scanning.
• Execute the A&A process and maintain detailed technical documentation, including installation guides and O&M procedures.
• Implement scalable services by collaborating with architecture teams and managing both SQL and NoSQL database environments.
• Manage identity and access via IdAM systems such as LDAP, Active Directory, OAuth 2.0, or SAML.
Required Experience
• Active TS/SCI w/ Full Scope Poly
• AWS SysOps Administrator Associate certification
• 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering with a focus on Linux/Unix and Windows server administration
• Expertise in AWS Services, including troubleshooting, deployment, and security constraints for sensitive data protection
• Strong proficiency with DevOps and orchestration tools such as Ansible and GitHub
• Hands-on experience building virtual desktop environments (Citrix/RDP) and implementing enterprise-grade security protocols
Preferred Experience
• Familiarity with Sponsor regulations governing sub-compartmented dissemination programs.
• Experience identifying requirements from user stories and working within Agile frameworks.
• Knowledge of data visualization and link analysis for complex information sets.
