The C-130 Flightline APG Mechanic will perform and assist with aircraft launch and recovery operations, preflight, thru-flight, basic post-flight, and periodic inspections. This role supports ground handling, maintenance actions, engine runs, operational checkouts, servicing, and troubleshooting of aircraft systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform routine troubleshooting, installation, repair, and maintenance of electro-mechanical and hydraulic-pneumatic systems and components
• Conduct aircraft launch, recovery, towing, and ground handling operations
• Execute engine runs and operational checks in accordance with technical orders
• Remove and reinstall panels and associated hardware to access equipment requiring maintenance
• Ensure airworthiness and acceptability of:
o Electrical systems
o Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
o Propulsion systems
o Landing gear
o Flight control surfaces
o General airframe condition
o Aircraft furnishings
o Crew escape systems
Required Aircraft Systems Knowledge
• Landing gear systems
• Powerplants
• Flight controls
• Fueling and defueling operations
• Aircraft movement, launch, and recovery
Qualifications
• Minimum 5+ years of recent aircraft maintenance experience
• C-130 experience preferred, but not required
• Aircraft flightline experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production flightline team
Schedule & Start
• 1st Shift: Monday–Thursday
• Hours: 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Start Date: Must be available to start March 9, 2026
