Northrop Grumman, Space Systems, is currently seeking an experienced individual for a Program Manager (PM) 1 to provide program leadership to our Advanced Programs team on-site at our Hill AFB Utah offices. Overview
This Program Manager (PM) position resides within the Tactical Products & Services portfolio and will be responsible for management of multiple contracts and contract types. The Tactical Products & Services portfolio is diverse and dynamic and includes management of production, development and sustainment programs in technology areas including rocket motors, aerial payloads, aging and surveillance, flares and countermeasures, next generation energetics, and more. The PM will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team to deliver expected technical, financial, and schedule performance under our Minuteman III Propulsion Subsystem Sustainment Contract (PSSC). The position is based in our Hill AFB offices with occasional travel Promontory and Bacchus/Magna sites. The PM will establish and maintain relationships with customers, prime contractors, industry partners, and suppliers. The position is fast paced with multiple task orders running simultaneously and includes opportunities for interacting with Propulsion Systems leadership in support of individual and professional goals. Emphasis is placed on working closely with project engineering and the Air Force customer to determine priorities and deliver on time with high technical quality. PSSC is a cost-plus award fee contract, so customer satisfaction is paramount. It is an ideal opportunity for a self-motivated individual who wants to leverage their existing skillset into program and profit/loss management.

Primary Level Salary Range: $114,900.00 - $172,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Role and Responsibilities:
- Plan, propose and execute on discretionary and funded programs. Manage all elements including cost, schedule, scope, quality, and technical progress
- Interface, communicate and collaborate with functional organizations and leadership as needed to execute on programs
- Provide overall leadership and ownership for program success
- Establish working relationships with external customers communicating marketing, proposal, and program information
- Manage proposal preparation and submission
- Continuously drive for results and challenge the status quo to meet customer's needs
- Have proven ability to influence others positively
- Coordinate the performance of program functions (such as supply chain, contract, finance, and operations)
- Ability to provide verbal and written information clearly, succinctly, and persuasively to Air Force customers
- Position program and team for long term success on subsequent contracts
- Identify and assess risk with appropriate mitigating actions
- Support advocacy initiatives to promote additional Minuteman aging pursuits
- Demonstrated ability to develop innovative solutions for unique customer problems and transition into value-added program scope
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience; Master's degree and 3 years of related experience
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of leadership and customers
- Earned Value Management certification and/or Cost Account Manager experience
- Prior experience working with a diverse team to accomplish program goals
- Familiarity with business tools and processes preferably those used at NG
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Detail oriented but able to understand the big picture Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
- Ability to travel up to 10% of time
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
- US Citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in STEM or business fields
- A knowledge of launch vehicles, intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs), solid rocket motor materials, processes, manufacturing, key suppliers, tooling, testing, facilities, lessons learned, etc.
- Familiarity with various contract types, including FFP, CPFF, T&M, etc.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
