Lockheed Martin is looking for a dynamic, hardworking Ordnance Architect Systems Engineer to support a new missile defense program.
In this role, you will report to the Systems Engineering Manager, and your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
• Develop the architecture and conduct associated trades and development for the Ordnance and Ordnance Safety Systems on the NGI Program
• Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions
• Establish ordnance architecture and CONOPS, perform system trades and analysis, flow down the architecture and CONOPS into requirements and interfaces, and support verification planning
• Use your excellent communication skills to work across the Lockheed Martin organization and customer/user community to ensure consensus and understanding of solutions

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience in or knowledge of Missile Ordnance Development and Design, Ordnance and Missile Range Safety Requirements, Ordnance subsystem electrical and electronic safe, arm, and ignition systems, Ordnance Systems Engineering or Architecture for separation devices, ignition devices, and safety devices or similar
• Experience working with government ignition safety review boards
• Demonstrated experience working in Systems Engineering or System Architecture for a missile development program
• Experience using systems engineering tools such as Cameo, Rhapsody, or DOORS.
• Active or Current Secret Security Clearance
Desired Skills:
• Experience with MDS related programs
• Experience in performing multiple Systems Engineering functions, such as: Leading and performing System Trade studies and System modeling, leading the development of System architecture or CONOPS, and or leading Design reviews
• Experience with Systems Engineering or Architecture on development systems in the MDS
• Master's Degree in Systems Engineering or applicable discipline, INCOSE Certification, or relevant Graduate Certificate
• Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very complex problems and implement constructive change
• Strong team collaboration, communication and presentation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members, leadership, and customers

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
