THE WORK
Based in Stratford, CT, as the Director, Advanced Programs, you will be accountable for the overall financial performance, including Orders, Sales, EBIT, Cash Flow, Funds Flow, and Overheads (both planned and actual) of the programs within the organization (typically TRL 7-9). This role also involves working with the Innovations team to transition products from early development (typically TRL 1-6) & demonstration to market - finding the right strategic fit for the products - either residing within the Advanced Programs or further transitioning to existing Sikorsky market segments both domestically and internationally. Developing "go to market" strategies, as products mature, is another important aspect of this job. Additionally, as a Full Spectrum leader, the incumbent will play a pivotal role in cultivating a dynamic and collaborative work environment that encourages innovation, creativity, and continuous learning. This leader will champion a mindset of continuous improvement, leveraging feedback, data, and industry best practices to inform decision-making and drive growth.

• Executive-level program and portfolio leadership: A proven ability to lead large-scale programs and portfolios, with a deep understanding of the technical, financial, and operational aspects of program management.
• Advanced technology expertise: A strong background in the development of cutting-edge technologies with a keen eye for emerging trends and opportunities.
• Transformational leadership: A demonstrated ability to drive change and guide teams through periods of transformation, with a focus on empowering employees and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Business acumen: A track record of managing internal investments and achieving aggressive business growth targets, with a strong understanding of the financial and operational levers that drive success.
• External presence: A strong reputation and presence with customers, policy stakeholders, and industry partners, with a ability to build and maintain relationships that drive business outcomes.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years of professional experience; or 8 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.
• Program Management experience
• Leadership experience
• Experience developing strategic business plans
• Must be willing to travel (min. 25%)
• Ability to obtain clearance required
Desired Skills:
• 8 or more years Program Management experience
• Adept at working with matrix organizations for executing and proposing programs
• Exposure to Lockheed Martin processes and business attributes
• Ability to interface with senior/executive level stakeholders with capability to brief at varying management levels

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
