Position Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Lead Systems Engineer/Technologist with a strong background in Systems Engineering as well as experience in Department of Defense (DoD) Weapon Systems Acquisition and Development. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and proficiency in SE tools, processes, and methodologies. This role will be responsible for leading enterprise-level systems engineering activities, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and driving the development of complex systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of systems engineering strategies, architectures, and solutions for complex DoD weapon systems, leveraging AI/ML technologies and MBSE principles.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, program management, and operations, to ensure systems engineering activities are aligned with program goals and objectives.
Develop and maintain technical roadmaps, system architectures, and technical requirements documents, ensuring compliance with DoD and industry standards.
Apply MBSE principles and tools, such as SysML, UML, and DOORS, to design, develop, and integrate complex systems.
Utilize SE tools, such as Dassault Systems, ANSYS, NoMagic, and Sparx Systems, to support systems engineering activities, including requirements management, design, and testing.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and technicians, mentoring and coaching them in systems engineering principles, AI/ML technologies, and MBSE methodologies.
Interact with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and industry partners, to communicate technical information, provide status updates, and negotiate technical requirements.
Develop and deliver technical presentations, reports, and briefings to senior leadership, program managers, and other stakeholders, both written and verbally.
Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in AI/ML, MBSE, and systems engineering, applying this knowledge to improve systems engineering processes and solutions.
Contribute to the development of enterprise-level systems engineering processes, procedures, and standards, ensuring compliance with industry and government regulations.
