The ability to do the work of a ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT INSPECTOR, WG-2854-11, without more than normal supervision such as:
* Ability to use various electrical measuring equipment including but not limited to volt meters, ampere meters, megohmeters, multimeters, noise and vibration analyzers and tachometers.
* Must have a thorough background in electrical skills, electrical theory, and machinery controlled and driven electrical equipment.
* Familiar with the proper types, application and quantities of lubricant for electric motors, starter switches, transformers, dash pots, etc.
* Using electrician tools to perform maintenance functions such as tightening screws, cleaning contacts, changing fuses and brushes, making adjustments, etc.
* Reading and interpreting complex electrical drawings and technical manuals

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Help
- You willperform analytical, comprehensive, or diagnostic inspections of electrical components associated with Production Machinery such as lathes, milling machines, pipe benders, planers, rubber mills, electric ovens, boring mills, and press brakes.
- You will determine what work is required to maintain the equipment in proper operating condition, or make repairs to restore equipment to proper condition.
- You will complete inspection reports containing recommendations for repairs and list of replacement parts.
- You will perform minor preventive maintenance such as replacing fuses, tightening screws, cleaning contacts.
