Salary Clarification:
NH:04: $143,913.00 to $197,200.00 Per Year ** This NH-04 position has a control point.
This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees.
A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.
This position is part of the Navy Nuclear Deterrent Mission.

- You will negotiate contracts supporting the TRIDENT II Sub Launched Ballistic Missile Program, Nuclear Weapons Security,
- You will be responsible for all phases of the procurement and acquisition cycles, including pre-planning, pre-award and pre-negotiation activities, all functions leading up to contract execution
- You will be responsible for all actions within his/her prescribed area and is rarely given specific direction in his/her work except for professional projects.
- You will determine the approaches and methods to be used in carrying out assignments, including overall design of plans and strategies for the projects to meet goals and objectives, requirements and time frames.
- You will serve as the primary procurement advisor to the Branch Head of the Technical Branch in which the acquisitions under his/her cognizance originate.
- You will serve as the Contract Officer consultant on matters dealing with the relationship of engineering specifications and other technical and delivery requirements to the applicable contracts.
- You will plan, develop and implement unique and innovative contracting arrangements dealing with numerous contractor and subcontractor relationships.
- You will develop schedules for the negotiation and execution of all procurements, which includes establishing realistic deadlines and monitoring their accomplishment that are presented to senior leadership
- You will ensure that Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs) are assigned to all contracting actions, that the nominated CORs have completed the required training and meet all criteria for serving as a COR.
