Job Overview

Innovatus Technology Consulting is seeking a unique hybrid professional for the role of Project Manager & PowerBI Solutions Lead. This position is critical for a high-priority customer who understands the value of data but requires a technical translator to turn their vision into functional dashboards. You will act as the primary bridge between the customer's requirements and the development team, ensuring that final PowerBI products are both technically sound and strategically valuable.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Translation: Interface directly with customers to identify business problems and translate vague requests into clear, actionable technical requirements for developers.
• Project Oversight: Manage the end-to-end delivery of BI projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and stakeholder reporting.
• Consultative Design: Lead the conceptual design of PowerBI dashboards, ensuring they meet the customer's actual needs rather than just their stated desires.
• Quality Assurance: Review and validate PowerBI reports produced by the dev team to ensure they align with the original customer vision and meet high standards of data accuracy.
• Customer Education: Guide and "hand-hold" customers through the data journey, teaching them how to interpret BI insights and adopt new data-driven workflows.
• Agile Leadership: Facilitate stand-ups and sprint planning to keep the development team focused on the highest-impact tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in a Project Management or Lead Business Analyst role, with at least 2 years of hands-on exposure to the PowerBI ecosystem.
• Clearance: Active Secret Clearance is mandatory.
• Communication: Exceptional ability to explain technical data concepts to non-technical, high-level government stakeholders.
• Technical Literacy: While you may not be building every report, you must understand DAX, Power Query, and Data Modeling well enough to assess feasibility and guide developers.
• Project Management: Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience supporting Navy or DoD customers in a consulting capacity.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) or Scrum Master certification.
• Experience with data governance and security protocols within a Secret-level environment.
