Summary:
● Embedded/CNO software engineer supporting mission-focused tooling from prototype through fielded capability.
Qualifications & Compensation:
● Estimated annual compensation: ~$312k/year (based on 1,880 hours).
● Experience: 12+ years with a technical B.S. (or 10+ years with an M.S.). An additional 4 years of relevant software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
● Strong proficiency in embedded/Linux/Windows development and reverse engineering (Ghidra preferred).
Job Description:
● Design, develop, prototype, integrate, and sustain embedded and CNO-focused software solutions.
● Augment and improve existing toolsets; deliver capabilities that operate within mission constraints.
● Derive, document, and analyze requirements; build prototypes to validate understanding.
● Collaborate with analysts, operators, data scientists, and other engineers to provide tactical mission support.
● Provide support for fielded systems, including integration and test activities.
● Perform vulnerability research, penetration testing, and exploit development in support of production capabilities.
● Use C/C++, Python, Rust, and Go; version control with Git and Subversion; track work in Jira/Confluence.
● Work with customer leadership to build relationships that enable mission success.
Nice to Haves:
● Experience with Java, JavaScript, Bash, x86/x64 assembly, PowerShell, Perl, or C#.
● Cryptologic development experience.
