Job Description

As a Security Officer - Roving Patrol Security Clearance in Melbourne, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support operations with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, respond to issues as they arise, and work as part of an agile, reliable, innovative team that puts people first and leads with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, parking lots, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance issues.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor and vehicle logs, and directing drivers to appropriate staging and dock areas.
• Monitor and document truck and trailer activity, including checking seals and yard conditions when assigned, and completing required reports and notifications in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3 or more years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience OR have a college degree.
• Have an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Be 21 or more years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
