As an unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a leading aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist employees and visitors with clear communication, and document observations using site technology. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and/or potential hazards.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials as required, and help support access control processes for a controlled Aero and Defense location.
• Complete detailed reports and logs, communicate security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts, and assist with investigations when requested.

Minimum Requirements:

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
