Blu Omega is seeking a dedicated Junior Purview Administrator to support our US Treasury project in Washington, DC. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge data governance and compliance initiatives within a highly secure, classified setting. Whether on-site or remotely, you will play a vital part in ensuring the integrity, security, and compliance of sensitive data across Microsoft Purview and Microsoft 365 environments.

Location:
  • Washington, DC (On-site preferred; remote work available up to 100%)

Clearance Needed:
  • U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain a public trust clearance

Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and test data governance and compliance policies, including data classification, labeling, and DLP (Data Loss Prevention) policies.
  • Monitor, optimize, and adapt policies to meet evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage Microsoft Purview and integrated Microsoft 365 services.
  • Administer role groups, custom roles, and permissions within the Purview portal.
  • Protect sensitive data from internal and external threats through information protection and insider risk management solutions.
  • Respond to data protection incidents and assist in security investigations.
  • Support and manage eDiscovery workflows, including data collection, search, and export for legal and compliance purposes.
  • Collaborate with data architects, analysts, IT, security teams, and business owners to implement governance best practices.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to users on data protection tools and policies.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of progressive IT experience, OR an Associate's Degree with 7+ years, OR 9+ years of IT experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a public trust clearance.
  • Hands-on experience managing Microsoft Purview solutions.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance principles.
  • Experience with data classification, sensitivity labeling, and DLP tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 environments, including Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell is a plus.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments and audits.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and enforce security policies.

Nice to Have:
  • Experience working with Treasury or IRS systems.
  • Additional scripting or automation skills.
  • Knowledge of insider threat detection or advanced security frameworks.
  • Prior experience in classified or highly secure environments.

Salary Range: $55K - $75K
Our final salary offer will be based on several factors, including depth of technical skills, work experience, education, certifications, and clearance
