Join Peraton in advancing the safety, efficiency, and modernization of the National Airspace System (NAS) through the FAA's Brand New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS) contract. Peraton is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Program Finance Analyst to support financial planning, execution, and reporting for complex, mission-critical large-scale IT programs aligned to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This role partners closely with program leadership, contracts, and operations teams to ensure financial performance aligns with contract requirements, funding profiles, and organizational objectives. The ideal candidate brings strong financial acumen, experience supporting government or regulated programs, and the ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for decision-makers.

Work Location:
  • This position will work on site in the DC Metro area. Once operations are fully established, we will consider telework options however, this is not guaranteed.

Duties to include, but not be limited to:
  • Support program financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities.
  • Track and analyze program funding, burn rates, and cost performance against plans and baselines.
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports, including monthly forecasts, variance analyses, and management briefings.
  • Monitor labor costs, staffing plans, and indirect cost impacts.
  • Support Earned Value Management (EVM) activities, as applicable.
  • Partner with Program Managers to identify financial risks and opportunities and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure financial data aligns with contract terms, funding authorizations, and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with contracts, accounting, and procurement teams on financial impacts and funding changes.
  • Support invoice review, revenue tracking, and funding burn-down analysis.
  • Maintain audit-ready financial documentation and support internal or external reviews.
  • Assist with program start-up, re-baselining, and funding realignments as required.

Your analysis supports informed decision-making, risk mitigation, and long-term program sustainability-directly enabling delivery of critical services on time and within budget.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years' experience or Masters degree and 6 years' experience or Associate's degree and 10 years years' experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 12 years' experience.
  • Experience in program finance, project controls, or financial analysis.
  • Experience supporting government contracts or regulated programs.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, financial modeling).
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and present findings clearly to leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting FAA, DOT, or other federal aviation systems.
  • Familiarity with EVM principles, cost control methodologies, or financial compliance requirements.
  • Experience with financial systems such as Deltek Costpoint, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP tools.
  • Understanding of contract types (CPFF, T&M, FFP) and their financial implications.
  • Ability to support multiple programs or workstreams simultaneously.

Details

Target Salary Range: $86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
