Network Administrator Senior (TSB)
Responsibilities:
• Administer and maintain NIPRNet and SIPRNet network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, TACLANEs, and ensuring compliance with DoD and DISA security standards.
• Implement and enforce security configurations and hardening across network devices, network support servers, and endpoints in accordance with STIGs and RMF requirements.
• Review vulnerability scans (e.g., ACAS, SCAP), analyze findings and remediate security issues to maintain system accreditation.
• Develop and maintain detailed network documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration baselines, and change control records.
• Support RMF lifecycle activities by preparing and updating accreditation artifacts such as System Security Plans, POA&Ms, and eMASS entries.
• Monitor system performance and security alerts; troubleshoot connectivity, authentication, and configuration issues within classified environments.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams, system engineers, and program leadership to align network resources with mission requirements.
• Participate in technical reviews and change control boards; provide expert recommendations on design modifications and security posture improvements.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, DoD cybersecurity mandates, and best practices for classified network operations.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or commensurate experience).
• Minimum 6-9 years of progressive experience in network administration within DoD or federal environments.
• Clearance Required: Active Secret clearance.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree (or commensurate experience) and 8 years of experience.
• Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA Security, GSEC).
• Expert-level experience with Cisco routers (39xx, 4xxxx, 8K), switches (29xx, 38xx, 9K), and firewalls (55xx and above).
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with TACLANEs (KG-175D/F/N/G) and GEM management console at a configuration and engineering build level.
• Strong knowledge of DoD STIGs, RMF processes, and DISA security standards.
• Proven ability to lead network hardening, vulnerability remediation, and accreditation efforts.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
• Experience with Cisco ISE, DoD Zero Trust implementation, and Infoblox DNS.
• Expertise in designing robust, redundant, and failover TACLANE networks.
• Experience working directly with senior government leadership or military officials.
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and time management skills.
