Astrion has a requirement for a Logistics Analyst to support a U.S. Army customer at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL, providing logistics and property accountability support.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Must possess an active and transferable DoD Secret level security clearance with current investigation
- Bachelors degree in related discipline. (9 years of applied experience accepted in lieu of degree)
- Must be proficient using Microsoft Office products with demonstrated experience using Government property management and accountability systems
- Good oral and digital communication skills
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 30%
- Must be willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Previous government logistics support required
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide logistics support for transportation, storage, inventory, maintenance, and repair of Government property
- Utilize proprietary and Govt property and supply accountability systems to perform equipment/parts accounting, materials processing, and storage and shipment of equipment
- Assess, evaluate, and develop equipment storage methodologies utilizing available resources
- Receive, identify, store and maintain fixed assets, consumable and expendable property
- Perform some administrative duties including prioritizing tasks, tracking the status and completion of suspense actions
- Coordinate with government agencies in analyzing and developing logistics procedures
- Provide onsite logistics support for Program test events at U.S. Army and other test ranges
- Prepare and package equipment for shipment and make determinations to maximize efficiency of equipment shipments
- Generate and provide various material and fixed asset reports
- Maintain property accountability for lifecycle of assets
- Conduct and support property inventories on annual and cyclical basis
- Utilize conventional and leading-edge property accountability methodologies
- Obtain certification and operate forklift or other material handling equipment as needed
- Execute property record reviews and inventory updates in property databases
- Provide logistics and property accountability support and guidance to subcontractors as needed
- Utilize proficient communication skills to interface with internal and external customers, technical, and non-technical personnel
- Prepare and maintain property transfer and shipment documents such as DD 1149, DD 250, DA 2062, DD 1348 and others
